Doors Open Haunted Huron is billed as a ‘weekend of heritage and horror in Huron County’. We are celebrating the unique history and heritage found only in our community and we’re going to have a little fun and a few frights while we do.
Ghost stories told and retold over generations become part of a community’s mythology and folklore. These are stories of spirits from a different time coming back to interact with the present day inhabitants. What better metaphor for our event, bringing the spirits of our past to an audience of the present.
There are over 40 sites open free of charge across Huron County to tour and see over the weekend.
